SOKENDAI's Response to Declaration of Second State of Emergency concerning the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
TO: All Current SOKENDAI Students and Examinees for SOKENDAI Entrance Examinations
The Second State of Emergency targeted four prefectures (Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama and Chiba) was declared on January 7, 2021. In response to this situation, SOKENDAI has decided to take the following measures:
- The same level of the activity restrictions with the faculty and staff of the Parent Institutes or Inter-University Research Institute Corporation (hereinafter referred to as ed "Parent Institutes") under the Activity Restriction Guidelines established by the Parent Institutes will be applied to the SOKENDAI students.
- Study and the research activities can be continued while taking the utmost consideration to prevent the spread of infection in compliance with the "Guideline to Manage the Prevention of the Spread of Infection and the Research Activities (date revised: October. 6, 2020)" established by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan, in order to ensure the opportunities to receive education, although preventing the spread of infection and securing the good health and safety of the students are the first priority.
- Most of the departments of SOKENDAI have been considering to conduct the winter entrance examination by online; however, for those of you required to move and gather at a certain place to take the examination, please fully take the sufficient measures to prevent infection.
- The above-mentioned response measures will remain effective until February 7, 2021, when the declaration of the state of emergency loses effect.
